Who we are
Actually, I, Ella, have always been a cat person. I was suspicious of dogs. They were big, often loud, and besides, how could I know what they liked if they didn't purr?
After a series of friendly encounters with several dogs from customers and friends of the café I used to work in and voluntary work at local animal shelters came Merlin. He came to me as a five-week-old foster puppy at the beginning of December 2021. And he stayed.
I knew even then that this little guy would be a big challenge, and I made a conscious decision to take him in. We have, as they say, come a long way: from a screaming and biting, overstimulated puppy to severe leash aggression, an inability to relax at home, dog-antidepressants, virtually non-existent frustration tolerance, no more visitors, a year of only leaving the flat with a muzzle, to night-time walks and gauntlet runs, which often culminated in complete nervous breakdowns on my part – we've been through it all.
Over time, working with dogs has become my passion. I love their authenticity, their honesty, their unconditional nature. I like that they challenge me and push me to my limits to feel boundaries. I also feel responsible for explaining our world to these creatures that we bring into it. Merlin taught me that boundaries are a wonderful thing, that they force you to develop when you encounter them, and that fair boundaries are, above all, the key to greater freedom.
As a linguist and speaker, I know how important it is to be able to understand and be understood in order to feel secure in relationships. That's why I trained as a professional dog trainer and successfully completed my training in September 2025. Through my work, I want to help you and your dog understand each other better and resolve conflicts with as little escalation as possible.
With this in mind, let us explore and (re)define your boundaries together in order to strengthen your relationship and enjoy the freedom that this brings.
I look forward to accompanying you on your journey.
